Exporting it to the EU
The requirements, not a claim that we hold each approval. We have a representative in Europe, based in Munich, Germany, who can meet you in person.
Pure coir only
Annex VI of (EU) 2019/2072: standalone growing medium must be entirely peat or coconut fibre, never previously used. Blends lose the exemption.
Declared values
PFC 4 requires EC, pH and volume declared. Ceilings: cadmium 1.5, lead 120, nickel 50 mg/kg dry matter.
EC is commercial
No legal ceiling. Washed runs under 1.0 mS/cm, buffered under 0.5. Always state the test method.
CE marking is optional
Coir is CMC 2, excluded from self-declaration. A notified body, or sell under national rules.
Someone here, in the EU
PPWR Article 45 and the GPSR both require a responsible operator established in the EU. Ours is in Munich.

- Automotive. In force since August 2026; 15% recycled plastic in new vehicle types from 2032.

- Closures and containers. Migration limits, and recycled content only from an authorised process.

- Growing media. Coir is PFC 4 and CMC 2; declared EC, pH and volume, with contaminant ceilings.

- Coir imports. Annex VI permits standalone growing medium only if pure and previously unused.

- Everything, from December 2027. No size threshold, and it binds the manufacturer directly.
